Described perfectly in their intro email as:
This occasion is simply an opportunity to share camaraderie and goodwill with a wonderful slice of the Australian veteran and veteran support community.
And honestly? This event nailed it, and then some.
I was invited by Sacha from Draw Stitch Smile, who is a Navy Veteran herself, and being able to see so many of the faces I met at RSL Queensland’s International Women’s Day event in March was just fantastic.
HomeFront provide professional residential services and commercial facility management Australia-wide. The company is owned by Veterans, and most of their team are Veterans or within the ADF community.
From the dirty dusty lands internationally to the beautifully positioned offices in Milton, Queensland, HomeFront are determined to help ease the burden that Veterans face.
Their Brews & Chews evening did just that.
There was fun, so much laughter; deep conversations and hugs between mates; connections for employment and business opportunities; and so. much. gratitude.
I feel deeply honoured to be amongst this incredible calibre of humans, and I can’t wait to see what lies in store for them.
P.S. It was such a fab night that I didn’t even get my phone out so you’ll have to enjoy these tasty professional shots. And because I didn’t get to snap a selfie, you can have a looksee at me trying to move out of the shot of Christie from Dented Diva.
Absolutely love this write up and I am soooo glad we got to meet up again! I needed more time to chat so I think our own cocktail hour might be called for.
That photo makes me laugh! I swear I was holding one for you!
It was SO good to see you x The other photo was worse, ha! Next catch up I’ll bring my game face 😉
